The 5th session of a new series of monthly and free webinars for the pulmonary fibrosis community will take take place on January 31st 2024 at 19:00 CET.

In addition to the significant impact of pulmonary fibrosis on patients’ physical health, another important aspect of PF is often neglected: the psychological burden associated with the disease. What can PF patients do to address this and improve their mental health? These and other questions will be addressed by Prof Brendan Kelly, Professor of Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and Consultant Psychiatrist at Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin, in the upcoming session on “Living with Lung Fibrosis: Optimising Mental Health and Wellbeing”. In addition, Maxine Flewett will share her practical experience as a carer and wife of an IPF patient. She is based in the UK and a highly active and experienced advocate and ambassador around the impact of pulmonary fibrosis on carers, patients and families both physically and psychologically, and has contributed to various task forces, conferences and committees on lung health, mental health and the role of carers.The webinar will be moderated by Liam Galvin, EU-PFF CEO.
